Hi!! I am a mother of 3 grown children and a fur baby (28,26,21,2) parenting adult children is definitely different than when they were younger. I have noticed (well it’s been like this)with my older 2, son and daughter, that since they have families of their own, they are walking a fine line of disrespect( some how they have in their mind they are “equal” to me. I know they are grown, but I don’t care how grown you are. I AM STILL mommy! And me setting and having these boundaries, has caused some issues in our relationship. In times past I would be so heart broken, but the past year I have remained firm in my NO and stood on what I said without wavering. We may go a week or two without talking, but they eventually would come around. Does anyone have any other advice that can help me work through this parenthood phase of my life.
